Allow me to introduce myself. I am Nick Teters and I currently reside in the United States in the small southern state of Arkansas (Go Hogs). I have been designing everything from forum signatures to websites since I was 15 years old. My best friend at the time pirated a copy of Photoshop and showed it to me. I was instantly HOOKED! Every since then I have been absorbing knowledge and inspiration from everything around me to get me to the point that i’m at today. Most of my art these days stems from a deep love for movies and video games, something I have always been into since as far back as I can remember. I have a deep desire to create a world for myself to live in that is much more beautiful then the real life one.
A little about me personally…I was born in Arkansas on a midsummer’s day in the year 1987. I enjoyed sports, video games, and riding my bike (pretty much like every other kid). I’ve had jobs in just about every industry I can think of from retail to aviation. I currently have a full time desk job that I due in addition to my design business. Hopefully one day my design work will have me sitting at home in my PJ’s doing what I love and being surrounded by my family.
That segways nicely into me introducing my rock…the reason I get out of bed everyday…my family. I have a beautiful wife, Elisabeth who at this time, I have had the pleasure to share my life with for seven years. Together we have added three amazing little clones of ourselves to the world. Kailyn is are eldest at 9-years-old. Full of personality and laughter…and if i’m not mistaken she is future owner of Pixels To Life. Then the middle one, Jonah who is currently almost 3 is a little ball of energy. Jumping, flipping, kicking anything and everything in sight. Finally, our latest addition Luke who is currently 4 months old. Even at such a young age he inspires me with his growing personality and infectious smile.
This blog will be mainly about my work/appearances and improving you as a fellow designer. I am always looking to lend a helping hand so I love answering questions from Twitter or Email and uploading tutorials on a semi-regular basis to my YouTube channel. You will be able to find all that plus a little of my family life sprinkled in. So buckle up because where we’re going…we don’t need roads!
